These terms govern your use of φ, the conversational research application operated by Pheonix Research ("Pheonix", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. This is a plain-language summary of our current terms; contact us for the definitive agreement or before relying on the service for a regulated purpose.

φ lets you ask research questions, search accumulated intelligence, and commission structured research deliverables (workflows). You may use it for your own business or professional purposes, subject to these terms and applicable law. You must be authorised to act for the organisation associated with your email address.
Accounts require a corporate email address. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity under your account. You can view your signed-in devices, sign other devices out, export your data, or delete your account from the Account & usage panel. Deleting your account disables access and revokes all sessions; residual copies may persist in backups for a limited period before deletion.
Paid capabilities are metered in credits. New paid accounts receive a starting credit grant for evaluation. When your balance reaches zero, paid features stop until credits are added. Credits have no cash value, are non-transferable, and are consumed as you use the service, including model usage by background workflows. We may adjust the credit model with notice; changes are not retroactive to credits already consumed.
You retain ownership of the questions, materials, and instructions you provide, and of the deliverables produced for you. You grant Pheonix the rights needed to operate the service — to process your inputs, run workflows, store conversation history and outputs, and generate your deliverables. We do not sell your content. Inputs and outputs are processed by third-party model providers as described in the Privacy Policy.
φ produces evidence-grounded answers and research artifacts, but it can be incomplete or wrong. Outputs are informational and are not professional, legal, financial, or investment advice. You are responsible for verifying anything material against primary sources before you act on it. Effort metrics, timing ranges, and progress estimates are indicative, not guarantees.
Do not use the service to break the law, infringe others' rights, attack or probe the infrastructure, resell access without agreement, submit others' confidential data without authority, or generate deceptive, harmful, or abusive material. We may suspend or terminate accounts that do.
We aim for continuous availability but the service is provided "as is". Capabilities depend on third-party model and data providers and may be degraded or unavailable at times. The header status indicator reflects current capability health. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features.
To the extent permitted by law, Pheonix is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for decisions made in reliance on outputs. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the credits you consumed in the three months before the claim.
We may update these terms. Material changes will be surfaced in the application or by email. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms. Questions: reach us through the Pheonix Research website.
